Auspice is built to help you reflect, not to frighten you or promise you the future. Here is how the Oracle actually works, what it will never do, and how we treat what you share.
It starts from your real chart
The Oracle is grounded. Every reading begins from your actual chart — your pillars, placements, current transits, and the cards you turn — not a script that could belong to anyone. It reads what is genuinely there; it never invents chart facts. A complete, grounded answer is always composed for you instantly. When a language model is switched on, it only adds warmth and phrasing on top — and anything it writes is checked against your real chart first. If it drifts from what your chart supports, we quietly fall back to the grounded version. The model never decides your chart; the chart decides the model.
It reflects, it does not predict
Everything Auspice offers is reflective guidance for self-reflection and entertainment. It speaks in energies, tendencies, and better questions — not certainties. No doom, no absolutes, no guarantees, and no pressure. You remain the author of your own choices; the Oracle is a mirror and a companion, not an oracle of fate.
What it will not do
Some questions deserve a real person, not an app. In these moments the Oracle steps back with care rather than pretending to know:
- If you are struggling or thinking of self-harmIt steps back from reading and points you toward real people who can help, gently and without any mention of your account.
- Health and medical questionsIt will reflect on stress and energy, but it does not diagnose, predict illness or pregnancy outcomes, or replace a clinician.
- DeathIt does not predict death. It turns the question back toward meaning and what is in your hands.
- Money, markets, and bettingIt can frame a decision and its timing, but it names no trades, tickers, or odds, and says plainly that it is not financial advice.
- Legal questionsIt reflects on your position and choices, and points you to a professional for the legal part.
- Another person's private lifeIt will not claim what someone else is secretly doing or feeling. It refocuses on you — your position, your options.
- Anyone under 16Auspice is for people 16 and older, and the Oracle keeps to general wellbeing rather than romance or compatibility.

Our safety commitments
When you are in crisis, the Oracle responds with fixed, compassionate words and never mentions your subscription, quota, or any account consequence — care comes first, full stop. We keep a private record of safety moments only so we can keep the Oracle safe and honest; those records are never sold, never used for advertising, and are anonymized if you delete your account. Our whole voice is written to be calm and non-alarming, in mock-ups and notifications too.
Data dignity
Your data is yours. The Oracle's memory keeps only facts you state yourself — never guesses about you — and every remembered item is visible and deletable. We do not sell your data, show ads, or train models on your birth details, journal, or chat. You can export everything or delete it all, sign-in included, whenever you like from Settings → Data & privacy. The full detail lives in our Privacy Policy.
